In quarter 2, the main theme was Taking a Stand and Ethical Responsibility. The texts we read were Of Mice and Men, an excerpt from Farenheight 451, and the poem "The Ballad of Brimingham". As, a class we went through 2 timed writes, lots of "Says/Means/Matters" workshops, and my class period of English 2H piloted a new online textbook

. Overall from Quarter 1 to Quarter 2, I've improved a lot as a writer. We learned how to properly integrate quotes in our writing pieces and how to properly analyze texts with annotations.

My                                   on the poem "The Ballad of Birmingham" is the piece that I think accurately represents how much I've grown just from one quarter. It's amazing how great of teachers I have to foster my growth as a young writer.
